KEITH REDDIN'S SHORT PLAY DEPICTS FOUR INDIVIDUALS, ALL UNHAPPY IN THEIR MARRIAGES, FANTASIZING ABOUT KILLING EACH OTHER IN VARIOUS WAYS.

THE SETTING FLIPS EVERY SCENE BETWEEN A BAR PLAYING PATSY CLINE OVER THE JUKEBOX AND A HOME OF ONE OF THE COUPLES. CREATING THIS DIFFERENTIATION OF SPACE WAS AN IMPORTANT PART OF DESIGN, AND WE HAD TO DO SO WITH AS LITTLE PHYSICAL SCENERY AS POSSIBLE. WE CHOSE TO DEFINE THE SPACE WITH WOOD FLOOR, AND CREATED A DISTRESSED EFFECT ON THE BAR SIDE TO MARK A SLIGHT CHANGE IN SETTING. THIS EFFECT WAS HEIGHTENED BY ETHAN'S (THE LIGHTING DESIGNER) COLOR AND TEXTURE CHOICES.

THE CLOSENESS OF THE SPACES ALSO ALLOWED FOR HEAVILY CHOREOGRAPHED TRANSITIONS IN WHICH THE ACTORS FROZE MID SCENE AND MOVED IN REVERSE SLOW-MOTION TO THE NEXT SCENE WHILE PATSY CLINE PLAYED IN REVERSE OVER THE SPEAKERS.
