CREATING A SENSE OF NOWHERE

WAS THE IDEA BEHIND THIS DESIGN. THE GREEN DEPICTS MULTIPLE POINTS THROUGHOUT TIME IN WHICH TWO EXPERIMENT VOLUNTEERS FIND THEMSELVES IN THE SAME WAITING ROOM YEAR AFTER YEAR WITH NO RECOLLECTION OF THE ROOM OR EACH OTHER.

THE DOORWAYS, WHICH PULSED AS THE ACTORS WENT THROUGH THEM, LEAD OUT TO THE EXAM ROOM, BUT NO OTHER EXITS EXIST IN THE SPACE INDICATING THAT THERE IS NO ESCAPE FROM THIS VICIOUS CYCLE OF EXPERIMENTATION THEY ARE STUCK IN.

THIS SET ALSO HAD THE CONSTRAINT OF NEEDING TO BE ASSEMBLED AND DISASSEMBLED IN 15 MINUTES, AND SO THE FRAME WAS EASILY COLLAPSIBLE.
